Let the Roswell Museum and Art Center stir your imagination with art, history, and science. The collections museum represent outstanding fine art, the history and culture of the Southwest, and space science technology, our collections blur the boundaries of these categories. Premier elements of our collection are works by regional artists Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth, representing the most comprehensive public assemblage anywhere. Their paintings reflect landscapes, places and faces of the local area. The museum also features a recreation of Robert H. Goddard’s workshop as well as an extensive history of this great space pioneer. You also won’t want to miss the newly opened Rogers and Mary Ellen Aston Collection of the American West. A great project that provides a new interpretive framework, arranging artifacts into five topical thematic clusters that stress cultural change and interaction over time.
