Located in Albuquerque, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is dedicated to the preservation of the Native American Culture in New Mexico. Exhibits focus on the history and accomplishments of the Pueblo people in New Mexico from Pre-Columbian to today. The center is home to a 10,000 square foot museum featuring authentic pueblo artifacts and art. Permanent exhibits highlight show the ingenuity necessary to sustain the survival of each of the 19 pueblos in New Mexico. There is also a smaller changing exhibit that displays the traditional works of living Native American artists. And not to be missed, Saturday and Sunday feature traditional Native American dances and artists. The Center is owned and operated by the 19 pueblos of New Mexico and had been operating as a non-profit since it opened its doors in 1976. more than 200,000 visitors will visit the center each year.
